Could you provide a final assessment on EGT’s experience at FADJA, and the general results for the industry there? Did you fulfill your expectations regarding new deals reached, number of visits and products showcased?
It will be needed more time to be able to assess the general effect of this year’s FADJA on the industry, however for EGT the event went busy with meetings and with high interest to the showcased products. We had a lot of visitors and appreciated the opportunity to welcome many potential clients to our booth. We also concluded several deals with some of the operators we work with.
Organisers stated FADJA was a success due to sports betting growth (with a 50% increase in exhibitors and prospects pointing a 40% raise in that area for the World Cup), and the return to Corferias. Would you agree with that position? How could EGT capitalise that solid trend and momentum?
Sports betting is certainly gaining momentum, but our business is more concentrated in other segments of the industry that are also progressing at a high speed. We are working with the key operators in Colombia and over 100 casinos have our products on their gaming floors. EGT will also be focusing on the VLT niche in the country, as well as on the local online gaming market, which is expected to grow even further this year.
As for the return of FADJA Colombia in Corferias, I would say that this move brought only positive results. The show organizers did a great job, as usual.
In your opinion what were the main topics and the most prominent conclusions and achievements during the show? Which trends could you identify for the gaming industry?
Undoubtedly the recently legalized sport betting activities and online casinos widened the scope of FADJA Colombia. It is exciting to be part of a fast developing industry, moreover we are also an online gaming provider. Our games are high-performing and already well known on the market which makes them a preferred choice for the online casinos as well.
Recently you announced new installations in Codere's casinos in Colombia. Do you have any feedback from that? Are there specifically designed products for these regional markets, such as Colombia? Which ones are EGT's forefront to lead in Latin America?
Codere is a long-term partner of EGT and it wouldn’t be so, if they weren’t satisfied with the company’s products. Our latest installations with the operator include the bestseller P-24/24 Up (the cabinet has achieved highest remarks and has created the largest sales potential for us in Latin America), the renowned jackpot Diamond Life and the STORK terminals that again became popular with the players for a short span of time. The performance of our machines paved the way for many further installations in Codere’s casinos that we are currently planning.
EGT is constantly analyzing the feedback from the operators, as well as the opinion of the players in order to tailor its gaming solutions to the local needs. This is also why EGT products have become so preferred in the region.
Which others shows are you attending next?
We participate in numerous shows worldwide. Regionally we will take part in Cancun Gaming Show, Juegos Miami, Peru Gaming Show, and SAGSE Argentina. At display will be our newest products, together with the bestsellers of the company.
How would you define strategy to address Latin American markets through the remainder of the year?
Thanks to the high quality of our products and to the professional way of work of our teams in Central and Latin America, EGT’s gaming solutions are already well known and preferred from many local operators. Our strategy is to keep the high standard of the company in terms of customer service and product portfolio diversity.
