EGT has been honored for its outstanding contribution to the innovative development and competitiveness in the Republic of Bulgaria for the period 2020-2024. In the category "Industrial Property" EGT ranks 1st in the Top 10 legal entities with the highest application activity.
The official presentation of the project took place at a special ceremony at the University of National and World Economy (UNWE). The event was attended by the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Rumen Radev, ministers from various departments, as well as municipal mayors from across the country.
"Intellectual property is a direct indicator of innovation. At EGT, we believe that progress is only possible when we make systematic efforts, develop capacity, and create a culture that generates ideas. Intellectual property is also an integral part of the path to global competitiveness and is one of the fundamental prerequisites for success," shared Vladimir Dokov, the company's CEO, after the event.
The project “National Map of Intellectual Property in the Republic of Bulgaria” was implemented by the UNWE through the Institute of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer “Prof. Dr. Borislav Borisov” in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, the Patent Office, the National Statistical Institute, and representative organizations of local authorities. Its main goal is to serve as a management tool in determining strategic priorities for the country's development in the areas of culture, education, innovation, economic growth, as well as in creating local government initiatives aimed at promoting regional competitiveness.
