EGT machines are a good fit for Merit’s casinos too

June 8, 2015

Five top-class casinos in Cyprus took a fancy to Euro Games Technology’s machines after an initial installation of Premier and Vega Vision+ cabinets and now go for the new P-24/24 St Slim model and the patron winning Egypt Quest progressive jackpot. Admittedly, EGT’s products were a match for their stylish design and for the taste of their local and international players.

Merit Casino Lefkoşa, Merit Crystal Cove, Merit Park Casino, Merit Cyprus Garden and Merit Royal Casino are an undertaking of Merit International Hotels & Resorts – an acknowledged hotel management company in Turkey that also has a number of international projects in its portfolio and is expert in connecting top-level investors with new promising entrepreneurs in the tourism industry. Six of its seven hotels and casinos are located in Northern Cyprus and add multitude of splendor recreational opportunities to island’s natural beauty and cultural inheritance. The resorts’ overall accommodation capacity exceeds 2000 beds and within the luxurious gaming venues are positioned over 1500 slot machines and 450 tables and have been held 120 tournaments.

Merit International chooses EGT as its casinos’ supplier in 2012, placing its first equipment order for 50 cabinets P-24/24 Up from Premier Series with Multi-3 and Multi-4 game mixes and 25 slant top Vega Vision+ machines. Their high performance and appreciated by slot players ergonomics, exterior design, user-friendly navigation, captivating visuals and wide choice of different themed titles, wind up in increased number and variety of EGT products on Merit’s casino floors. The recent new delivery, this time of 18 slant top cabinets P-24/24 St Slim with a Premier Multi-5 game mix and a bank of 10 Egypt Quest machines, sharing the biggest jackpot panel of EGT (55-inch, double-sided), strengthens even further the partnership between the two companies. „I can only regret that we haven’t met earlier,“ – shares Mr. Nuh Yondem, Slot Director of Merit International. “After our first installation, we noticed how high the potential of these products is. We believe that establishing a closer cooperation with EGT may further improve our way of meeting players’ demands and consider this a strong business advantage.”

Commenting on the new deal and foreseeing future opportunities, Mario Trayanski, Regional Sales Manager of EGT for the Balkans, is positive that: „The overall amusing abilities of our machines are beyond doubt winning returning players. EGT’s products are created with this concept in mind and I wasn’t surprised when was told by our partners in Cyprus that our cabinets were performing among the best in their casinos and had achieved really high time-on-machine rates per day. This is a strong argument for EGT’s future growth in Cyprus and, if we keep up the momentum, soon may turn into a main casino equipment supplier on the island.”
